Privacy Policy

We collect very limited information:

• Device and Usage Data: Standard technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, browser/app version, and basic usage analytics (e.g., features used, session duration). This helps us maintain and improve the App.
• Payment Information (Web): When you subscribe to Pro on the web, payments are processed via Stripe. Stripe collects and handles your payment details (credit card, billing address, etc.) under their own privacy policy. We do not store full payment card information on our servers.
• Payment Information (Android / Google Play): When you subscribe to Pro through the Android app, all billing is handled exclusively by Google Play Billing. Google collects and processes your payment method, transaction history, and associated account information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status — we do not receive or store your payment card details, Google account credentials, or any financial information from Google Play transactions.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, session management, preferences, and to enable core features (e.g., keeping you logged in, remembering subscription status). You can manage cookies through your device settings.
• Wall of Fame Submissions: When you choose to upload a meme to the public Wall of Fame, we store the meme file and any associated metadata needed for voting and display. These are anonymous and not linked to personal identifiers beyond what is required for the feature.
• AI Generation: When you use AI features, we may temporarily process your prompt or uploaded image to generate content. Generated outputs are saved in your private workspace.

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other direct personal identifiers (unless voluntarily provided in support requests).
• Location data beyond general IP-based country/region for compliance.
• Any data from your private workspace unless you explicitly upload to the Wall of Fame.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not train AI models on user-generated memes or private content.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features (including AI generation and Wall of Fame voting).
• To process Pro subscriptions via Stripe (web) or Google Play Billing (Android).
• To detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and ensure security.
• For anonymous analytics to understand overall usage (no individual tracking for advertising).

We may share data only as necessary:

• With Stripe for payment processing (web subscribers).
• With Google LLC for payment processing via Google Play Billing (Android subscribers). Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• With Base44 (or our hosting/provider) for App operation and storage.
• With service providers who assist us (under strict confidentiality agreements).
• When required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

If you use our app on Android, the following applies:

• All in-app purchases and subscriptions on Android are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or process your payment method or financial information — Google handles this entirely.
• Information collected by Google in connection with your purchase (e.g., Google account identifier, purchase token, transaction ID, subscription status) is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Google Play Terms of Service.
• We receive only a non-financial purchase token and subscription status from Google to verify and activate your Pro membership.
• To manage, cancel, or get a refund for a Google Play subscription, visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or contact Google Play Support.
• We do not share any data obtained from Google Play with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

California residents have the following rights:

• Right to Know: Request details about the personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions).
• Right to Opt-Out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share your data for targeted advertising).
• Right to Correct inaccurate information.
• Right to Limit Use of sensitive personal information (we collect very little).

To exercise these rights, email support@scarlet-lux-machine.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within the time required by law and verify your identity as needed. You may also manage certain preferences in your account settings.

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Private workspace content stays until you delete it. Wall of Fame memes remain as long as the feature requires.

We use reasonable security measures to protect the data we hold. However, no system is completely secure.

The App is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified to Pro subscribers via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updates.
